Terms of Service

Welcome to The Subtle Nerd. These terms cover your use of thesubtlenerd.com and any order you place with us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

Who we are

The Subtle Nerd is operated by axe & bow LLC, based in Amarillo, Texas, USA. When these terms say "we," "us," or "our," that's who we mean. You can reach us at andrew@axeandbow.com.

Our products

Everything in the store is printed to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse with your name on it until you order it, which is why production takes a few days before shipping starts. Product images are accurate representations, but colors can vary slightly between screens and between print runs. That's the nature of printed apparel, and small variations are not defects.

Orders and payment

All prices are in US dollars. When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy; we accept it when we confirm the order and start production. We can refuse or cancel an order if there's a pricing error, a stock problem with a base garment, or something that looks like fraud. If we cancel, you get your money back in full. Payment is collected at checkout through our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.

Shipping

Shipping costs and timelines are described in our Shipping Policy. Once a package is with the carrier, delivery dates are estimates, not promises. If a package is lost in transit, contact us and we'll work it out.

Returns

All sales are final, including size exchanges. Every item is made to order for you, so please check the size guide before you buy. If your order arrives misprinted, damaged, or defective, that's on us: contact us within the window described in our Shipping & Returns Policy and we'll make it right.

Our designs

The designs, artwork, text, and branding on this site belong to us. Buying a shirt gives you a great shirt; it does not give you a license to reproduce, resell, or reprint the artwork. Please don't rip our designs.

Your conduct

Don't use the site to do anything unlawful, don't try to break or probe the site, and don't submit content (like reviews) that is abusive, infringing, or spam. We can remove content and refuse service where we reasonably think these rules are being broken.

Disclaimers

The site and our products are provided "as is." We work hard to get everything right, but we don't promise the site will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here applies to orders placed while it's posted. If a change matters, we'll make it easy to notice.
